This blend was originally a serendipitous event during vintage when a full winery meant that the Barbera picking had to be included in a Cabernet Fermentor. But then on reflection there were maybe good reasons why the bright fruited, bright coloured, low tannin Barbera would marry well with the more structured and berry/herbal influences of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Poet Series
This blend has been used twice for the Coriole poetry partnership where poetry on the back label is combined with wine to encourage the consumption of both. The first two poets are Jude Aquilina (2004 Cabernet Barbera) and Peter Goldsworthy (2005 Cabernet Barbera)
