Tasting Notes
The nose shows lifted red fruits; plum and redcurrant. The palate is rich and fruit forward. A bright, medium-full bodied example of McLaren Vale Shiraz that will comfortably age for many years to come.

Winemaker Notes
Scarce Earth is a McLaren Vale initiative exploring and celebrating the geological, climatic and soil diversity of the region. All wines are produced from a single block which represents a unique flavor and personality profile.
The Galaxidia vineyard was planted in 1998 and is located directly below the olive shed on the Coriole Estate. It resembles the landscape of a town in Greece called Galaxidii. The geology is 700 million years old Tapley Hill formation; calcareous siltstone and sandstone. The soils are Terra Rosa- red brown earth over limestone, 150m above sea level.
