2024 Chardonnay

In 2022 we purchased a vineyard in southern part of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region, located in the Kuitpo region, not very far from the Coriole estate. About 400 metres above sea level, rainfall is typically double our levels at Coriole and it's much cooler — an extremely different climate.

This fruit had a very high natural acidity, so to build texture and richness through the palate, the juice was pressed straight into barrels and fermented on full solids. Post fermentation the wine was racked and then returned to the same barrels on light lees for a further eight to nine months maturation, which has helped to build a beautiful array of flavour throughout the whole palate.
