2025 Stonewall Single Vineyard Grenache
Our Stonewall Grenache vineyard lies on a gentle slope bordered to the south by a beautiful ironstone wall built in the 1860s. This small plot of around half an acre produces a fragrant wine of medium body and great persistence.

“From a block of about half an acre – bordered by an 1860s ironstone wall – of estate bush vines on hungry soils. No whole bunch here, and élevage of nine months in concrete, no oak. This is quite different to the broader estate wine, being more perfumed, elegant and finely structured, with mineral-feeling tannins and pleasingly vigorous tension. Macerated strawberry, pomegranate, cranberry, freshly ground cinnamon, dried rose. The fragrance here is a thing, and it develops meaningfully with air, and no doubt age. "Raspberry rope, cranberry, nutmeg and assorted baking spices, some floral perfume. Medium-bodied, a crisp feel here, ripe red fruits, poached rhubarb, some nutty flavours too, a sandy feel to tannin, with a finish of good length. Excellent. Has some energy and a distinct personality. 94 points"
