    We have an established, talented and hard-working restaurant team and are seeking a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our fast-paced environment.  This role incorporates a combination of restaurant lunch service and some weddings/functions.

    The Coriole Restaurant is an integral part of the Coriole Vineyards business, and as the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be an important part of its operations. The role will assist the Coriole Restaurant Operations Manager in ensuring we deliver the most outstanding customer service, drive sales, meet budgets and ultimately ensure the ongoing success of the restaurant.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Reporting to our Restaurant Manager and as a key member of the Front of House team, this role requires you to:

    • Deliver superior service and ensure customer satisfaction
    • Assist in creating memorable experiences for all visitors to the estate
    • Respond to customer enquiries, book functions and manage event details
    • Be on-site for weddings and major events
    • Oversee and manage daily reservation activities including individual, group, and corporate bookings
    • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to establish required staffing resources
    • Assist the Restaurant Manager to coordinate daily front of house and back of house restaurant operations
    • Assist the Restaurant Manager in stock management and monthly stocktaking
    • Supervise the restaurant overall presentation
    • Supervise the hospitality team to deliver the best customer service practices
    • Ensure seamless communication between Front of House and Back of House teams
    • Maintain POS systems
    • Assume responsibility for hospitality in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
    • Work with and assist the Coriole Wedding Coordinator as required

    Essential criteria:

    • Availability Thursday - Monday
    • A proven track record in a fast-paced restaurant
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Creative problem-solving skills
    • Clear communication skills

    Desired criteria:

    • Responsible Person badge
    • Wine knowledge / qualifications
