A fragrant and juicy wine showing true amaro character.
Negroamaro is a fairly new variety for Coriole, and has shown itself to be quite a light, fragrant, medium-bodied red from McLaren Vale. The name Negroamaro translates to "black and bitter" but this certainly doesn't describe the wine - while it does have some lovely amaro bitter herb like characters, it's very fragrant with soft tannin.
With great depth of flavour, this interesting wine has an attractive complexity with flavours ranging from those herbal bitter elements to floral lavender and rose characters.
On a hot day, Negroamaro could enjoy half an hour in the fridge to slightly chill the wine to cellar temperature.
