This two acre vineyard was planted in 1920 in the foothills of Willunga. The soils are deep, gravelly loams and this block always show great old vine complexity with a suppleness of Willunga soils. A very different wine to those produced from the Coriole estate. The nose shows blueberry and sage with hints of charcuterie. The palate is very soft and rich, beautifully framed by very fine tannin and finished by a floral rose lift.
" Fragrant bouquet, sculpted, medium bodied oak, all the focus on red/purple fruit flavours, the tannins and oak tread lightly on this old vine fruit." 95 points- James Halliday
"A nearly 100-year-old vineyard that is located in Willunga and has a quite elegant, fresh array of ripe red plums and wild raspberries with a very juicy and succulent feel on the palate. Fine tannins. Elegant. Drink or hold. 93 points"
