A brand new wine made from Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Negroamaro and Barbera.
The four varieties were co-fermented to create this medium bodied wine. A nose of rosehip, aniseed and cassis and a well-defined palate with chalky tannin and persistent flavour.
“Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Negroamaro and Barbera, all co-fermented – a full field of Italian talent here. Clever blend with the name being a partial portmanteau. 100 dozen produced. Puts me in mind a little of the Vaira Rosso.
"Cherry, aniseed, dried herb. Medium-bodied, juicy but fine with it, attractive chalky tannin, mouth-perfume, and clean length. It’s a great success to my way of thinking. Clever. Banging. 92 points"
