"A cull of vineyards, hand picked and and plunged in open-top vessels. Oak, all neutral, for 20 months. Very fine! I have been following the ebbs, potholes and flows of sangiovese here for a long time. This, more akin to an elevated expression rather than a grassroots chianti. Depth, vinosity and the edgy carriage of tannins and bright acid crunch that sets apart better wines, all raring. Sapid Bing cherry, thyme, mint and other garden herbs clatter along that jittery thread of tannin. Mocha notes assuage with a dollop of generosity, across a long finish. A confident evolution in full stride. 95 points"
