Our Sandalwood vineyard is planted to grenache gris and piquepoul on a rocky slope in the foothills of McLaren Flat. These varieties are picked together and co-fermented to create a rich and textured wine with brightness and lift.
"Blend of grenache gris and piquepoul. These Mediterranean varieties are finally coming to fruition in McLaren Vale. Co-fermented with ample oak inflections, delivering a full-weighted and textural experience laden with stone-fruit pithiness, crystallised ginger, almond meal and that waxy, warming scent of herb, scrub and green olives. A wonderful first release which barely hints at what it can become. Stunning intensity of flavor and driving length. Very impressive. Drink or hold. 94 points"

"Pale straw-yellow with a fragrant nose of honey, blossoms, lemon curd and sweet pastry. Medium in weight with a depth and textural element that immediately appeals. It glides with style and grace, showing golden apple, cinnamon and glacé ginger notes throughout. Great length and it finishes with a gentle dryness. 93 points"
